Part of the excursion was stopping at a sort of Wildlife Preserve on the way to taking a river rafting trip down a local river fed by waters from the surrounding volcanos. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including monkeys, bats, alligators in the river, frogs, hedgehogs, and numerous indigenous birds. But, by far, our favorite animal is shown in the photo. This little one was about a year and a half old.
