This was our second trip to an AM Resort, and the first time using our UVC membership. We were very pleased with how we were treated as members. Upon arrival, we were helped by Yiedel (probably spelled wrong, sorry!), he was very engaging and friendly and worked to get us the best upgrade he could, as this is part of our membership. Before going we weren’t sure if we’d get the upgrade since it was busy for spring break and the upgrade is based on availability. We were checked in and on our way very quickly. He was able to get us into a family suite, which was great with two kids. It had tons of space and afforded us some additional privacy. The location wasn’t great, as it was on the first floor, behind the entertainment pool, where it remains quite loud till about 10:30, but still, it was very nice. After check-in, we spoke with Helios who we remembered from our stay at Breathless the previous year. He offered to meet with us to clarify or answer any questions about our membership. He is such a great guy and is very knowledgeable. He spent breakfast with us our 2nd day to help answer any questions and did a fantastic job.<\/p>\n
We decided to upgrade to the preferred club, as we’d previously had it at Breathless and really enjoyed having access to the preferred lounge and other amenities.<\/p>\n
The food at the resort was ok, not as good as with our previous experience though, and twice when we’d tried to go to dinner, were told the wait would be an hour, even though the restaurant didn’t look very full.<\/p>\n
The alcohol selection was top notch and I think, better than Breathless was on our previous stay. Everywhere we went they had several flavors of absolute, as well as Ketel one and grey goose. During our stay, we spent most of our time at the pool and at the preferred club beach area. The preferred beach area was hosted by our new friend, Josefa, who is simply amazing! He provided impeccable service and always went the extra mile, helping the kids find things to do and bringing them special drinks. He went out of his way to find some beach toys for my son (repeatedly, lol) and treated us like family each time we saw him.
