My wife and I stayed at the Breathless resort from Dec 30-Jan 6. We had an amazing stay. We are UVC members and have been to several of the AM Resorts, but this was our first time at Cabo. A big thank you to Aracelli, our Member Services rep who made sure that we were well taken care of. Since we have been to many of the resorts, it’s difficult to not compare one to the other, but I have to say that while they all have a different design and feel, they have all been great, including this one. The following is our assessment of the resort:
\nRooms: The rooms are great. We stayed in a standard Allure suite and it was very nice. A great view of the marina and hills from the balcony and even from our bed. Rainshower is great.<\/p>\n
Food: Food is pretty good. I wouldn’t say great overall, but definitely satisfying and some things were excellent. My biggest complaint is that there are fewer restaurants than at the other resorts. Our favorite is Ocate, the Mexican restaurant that you can go to once if you are an Xhale club member. The skirt steak is excellent. Bites is good, and as the name suggests, has very small portions. This is really not a problem because you can order as much as you want and can try different things. The service in the restaurants can be a bit slow at times, but the servers were always working hard and trying their best. We never had a problem with servers not being attentive, and we were on vacation, so we never stressed over a slow meal, especially since the waiter would apologize when he knew it took too long. The Italian restaurant was good. Kibbeh only has sushi. The barefoot grill has some really good items for lunch. The breakfast buffet is small but the food is good. There’s also a lunch buffet which is also small.<\/p>\n
The fitness center is small but has new equipment and was good enough for a resort. The spa is also smaller than the other resorts with no hydrotherapy pools. But the hot tub is outdoor overlooking the pool and ocean, so that was really nice. You can only use it if you are in the Xhale club or if you get a spa service.<\/p>\n
Bars were all good. They had everything you would want. The wink bar is a nice place to hang out and talk to people. The Xhale lounge was great to hang out and had a nice patio area where you could have a drink and a snack and enjoy the view. Evander was our favorite bartender there, but they were all great. We just had more interaction with him because he moves around a lot. The purple rooftop lounge is nice, but not too many people went up there during our stay<\/p>\n
The pool area was lots of fun. There was always good music.
\nThere is always something going on at the pool area, whether it’s pool volleyball, cornhole, ping pong, dancers, etc. The pool is heated so it’s always comfortable and has an awesome view! There is no swim-up bar but the servers are very attentive and will bring you your drinks and food from the barefoot grill if you wish. We had Williams, Hector, and Faustino. They all work very hard and have great attitudes!<\/p>\n
There was a very fun New Year’s Eve party with drinking, dancing, and fireworks.<\/p>\n
Overall its just a great place. We always enjoy meeting and hanging out with people we meet from all over the U.S and Canada. We highly recommend the Breathless in Cabo. I can’t understand when we see any negative reviews. No, it’s not perfect, but I’m not sure what is.<\/p>\n
