We had a party of nine people who stayed at the breathless resort over the new year. Our time there was awesome … let me start by reviewing the rooms, my husband and I upgraded to a master suite before arrival. The rooms were spacious, having a separate living and dining area from the bedroom. Additionally, there were two full bathrooms which came in handy for getting ready in the morning for the pool or for going to dinner at night. However, the views from the master suites were limited since the location of the rooms are on the first floor. If you are there for sitting on the balcony (not quiet-on the boardwalk) and enjoying the view of the harbor, choose a different room.<\/p>\n
Overall, the food was good\u2026 We ate at the Italian restaurant, the food was tasteful and the portions were not overwhelming. The Ocote (steak house) was exceptional, however, the restaurant is not part of the resort, we would highly recommend that this be changed. For nine people this was the best food and everyone had a great meal. The Nook was the morning coffee shop, had great coffee and pastries; Bites had an order off the menu breakfast – yummy, otherwise was a Tappas restaurant during lunch and dinner. Our family went fishing and brought back some fresh tuna, for a fee, the fishnets restaurant cooked the tuna three different ways\u2026 Would definitely recommend.<\/p>\n
Each pool area was kept meticulously clean, A note of caution – The party pool has a painted wood deck which gets very hot in the sun, wear slip-on shoes to go to the buffet, bar or bathroom. Although there is not a swim-up bar, waiters are always around to take your order\u2026 We would like to thank Williams (Poo) and Roberto for their great service. One recommendation that I do have for the party pool is to change up the music\u2026 The same type is played every day (not cool), we would have appreciated a variety of different types of rock music.<\/p>\n
We are also members of the unlimited vacation club and upgraded our status during the last stay\u2026 Very happy with the club! Would like to thank Angel, Paco, and Araceli for their great service and attention to detail!<\/p>\n
