Booked this trip thru an agency that put me thru to Briana Quintin from Unlimited Vacation Club who handled all the details of the trip. What a great vacation! What a great property! What great service. Regarding trip details, Briana watched over everything and made whatever adjustments we needed to make our vacation beautiful. MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR HER.
\nThe property itself is very well maintained. All the staff we interacted with were very kind, friendly, and looking to help. Each one remembers you and at your needs are. Some particular people I want to give a special shout out to. Mauricio, I’m not sure what his title is but he is involved in the restaurants. We needed accommodation for special dietary needs and he made sure every stop we made knew about it and took care of it. Nothing missed. Great Job! Ishmael bartended in the Preferred Lounge. He makes FANTASTIC drinks. He has one called something like \u00abPampeno\u00bb or \u00abPampedo\u00bb blood red. It’s along the lines of bloody mary but much different and he makes it carefully and perfectly. Great attention to detail.
\nMake sure to find him. Eric. He is one of the rotating servers, 4-week rotation, 1 week each of 3 sections of beach and 1 week at the pool. He is young but takes care of what you want like a seasoned professional.
\nClevar, in the lobby bar. Very friendly and remembers what you ordered even day later. While these are people I specifically can point to, ALL were very customer service oriented and did a great job!
\nSome notes on the property. Well kept for sure. Only room location I would avoid is the southwest facing rooms by the spa. There is an evening aroma that generally permeated the area, even into the open lobby area that was not so pleasant. Maybe like a water treatment plant. Not a killer but if you can avoid it, why not.
\nWe stayed in oceanfront southeast corner preferred suite. GREAT ROOM! The only comment is the south side of the property is where they keep the beach tractor which starts its run early every day. No problem for us but if you like to sleep late with NO noise, stay in center or north building.
\nBeach. As everyone comments, the ocean and beach in this area are not the stellar beaches of the area you might expect. Water is not as summer blue and the beaches do collect a lot of seaweed. In other peoples comments, they said it smelled. We spent every day on the beach and smelled nothing. And this brings me back to the beach tractor. They are attentive to clean the beach of seaweed with the beach tractor. They go thru multiple times a day to make sure the beach is nice. In walking along the beach to other properties, clearly, Dreams is dedicated to beach grooming while others are not. Beach is a note but for us was not an issue. Chairs or beds beach were clean, available, comfortable and we were well hydrated by Eric.
\nThey hosted several weddings in various cultures during our stay. While we were not participants, we did clearly see the care and detail to make sure the weddings went on without problems. the guests looked like they had a really great time.
\nOne final note. Yes, this is an all-inclusive resort but, IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TIPS!!! Make sure to tip. I bring wads of 2s and 5s and give them out like candy. It comes out to a few hundred but it makes a difference and well worth it. I’m sure you get great service even without tipping but the tip and you will increase your enjoyment experience.
